Rock Salt Restaurant

Rock Salt Restaurant is a hidden gem in Plaza Damas, perfect for families looking for a great meal with an extensive selection of wines and cocktails. With a menu ranging from kebabs to pasta, there is something for everyone. The steak and fish dishes were especially noteworthy and could easily rival any French dish. Despite being hidden from the mall, it is accessible from the main inner road and is definitely worth seeking out.

The standout dish at Rock Salt is undoubtedly the steak, especially the medallion cooked medium rare on a hot stone, allowing you to cook the beef to your preferred doneness. They also offer specialty dishes that require a one-day advance order. The mushroom soup and lamb shank were also delicious. Service was impeccable, making for a memorable dining experience.

One dish that is highly recommended is the Caesar’s salad. We noticed that almost every table orders it every time they visit. The lamb shank was also a hit and should not be missed. Don’t forget to try their Mutton Pizza, which is a must-have on every visit.

Parking seems to be easy and convenient, with spots available just outside the restaurant or nearby. So, whether you’re in the mood for a romantic dinner or a family gathering, Rock Salt Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

SOULed OUT in Sri Hartamas offers great service, ambiance, and food. The staff is helpful and the place is suitable for all types of gatherings. With a lot of TVs in different angles and a big LED screen on the ground floor, it’s a great place to chill during World Cup. The menu offers a variety of Westernized Malaysian dishes at a reasonable price, and the portion size is good.

During a weekday dinner, the food was delicious and the vibe was great. They even had live music around 8 pm. Although parking can be a bit difficult, it’s still one of the good places to chill and enjoy the night. The menu has a wide range of food choices and many types of beers and liquors are available.

The restaurant has a fancy atmosphere and the food is tasty enough for a reasonable price. The huge screen playing music adds to the overall experience. The bathroom is clean and has a separate faucet for just hand washing.

If you’re looking for a casual dinner spot with great food and atmosphere, SOULed OUT is definitely worth a visit, despite the poor parking space.

3. Sri Hartamas Food – Vantador

Vantador

If you are a meat lover, Vantador is a place you shouldn’t miss. This steakhouse in Sri Hartamas is the best one around town, and the dry aged steak is a must-try. Cooked to perfection, the medium rare is the perfect choice. You won’t be disappointed.

The side dishes are delicious but come in small portions. The homemade chips are highly recommended, and you might want to add on an extra order because they’re that good. And if you’re a lamb fan, the lamb cutlets are tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Make sure to order them.

As for the dessert, it’s a 10/10. The coconut pannacotta is a personal favorite, and the presentation is fantastic. It’s a great way to end the meal.

Although the duck breast was a letdown, everything else was great. The bone marrow, although a bit expensive, is also a good choice. The truffle adds to the flavor, making it worth the price.

The host, Jay, is very helpful in assisting with meat selection. He even took out a couple of cuts from the kitchen for us to view before ordering. The ambiance is great, and the service is excellent. You can even call ahead for walk-in availability, and they will confirm that all the meats are certified halal.

The price might be on the higher side, but the experience is worth it. Highly recommend this place for a meaty feast.

4. Sri Hartamas Food – myPizzaLab @ Desa Sri Hartamas

myPizzaLab @ Desa Sri Hartamas
Image via myPizzaLab @ Desa Sri Hartamas

myPizzaLab is a great pizza place in Sri Hartamas. They offer a variety of unique and delicious signature pizzas, such as the Huat the Duck and Honey Bella Truffle. One of the recommended dishes is the truffle mushroom soup, which is full of mushroom and has a tinge of truffle that makes it so good.

The pizzas are also very good, with generous toppings and an airy and crunchy dough that tastes like it’s wood-fired. They also have a daily pizza offer at a discounted price of RM19.90, but unfortunately, we didn’t get to try it as the pizza of the day when we went was “Dugong” (beef).

The environment is nice and cozy, with complimentary chilled water provided. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to go with friends or family, as the restaurant is not too big and 4-6 people can comfortably dine together.

The Honey Bella Truffle pizza is a delightfully “mushroomy” and creamy option that’s definitely worth a try. The apple mint tea is also nice, but it might not be worth the money. Overall, myPizzaLab offers a unique and delicious pizza experience that’s worth the price. Just make sure to make a reservation in advance to secure a spot.

Charcoal Grill UO SHO

Charcoal Grill UO-SHO in Sri Hartamas is a great place to visit for authentic Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere and service are both excellent, and there are a variety of seating options, including private rooms, a counter, and normal seating areas with tables. The counter seating is particularly recommended for a comfortable dining experience. The staff, such as Elie, are friendly and attentive.

The drinks at Charcoal Grill UO-SHO are also excellent, especially the highball. However, the food is on the pricier side, with an average per person cost of around RM200 if you are ordering sushi and sashimi. Rice bowls are more affordable, costing around RM50 depending on your choice.

One of the recommended dishes is the omakase, which is the best in town. There are several varieties of omakase available, so be sure to check out the menu. The portions are generous, and the meal ends with a fantastic dessert.

Parking is not an issue, with many paid parking options around the restaurant. Reservations are easy to make via phone, and the restaurant is not typically crowded, so you can enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.

One customer enjoyed the sashimi, with every piece being fresh and accompanied by an explanation. The black pork nabe was also a standout, with a flavorful soup and tender meat. However, the nigiri sushi was underwhelming compared to other sushi they had tried.

Overall, Charcoal Grill UO-SHO is a great spot for anyone looking for authentic Japanese cuisine and a comfortable dining experience.

Cor Blimey British Fish and Chips is a great place to try out some delicious food, especially for fish and chips enthusiasts. The restaurant has a quiet atmosphere with plenty of seating available. The portions are decent for the price, so you won’t be disappointed with what you order.

One of the highly recommended dishes to try is the Perch Fish and mint peas, which is a must-try for anyone who hasn’t tried it yet. Another great option is the seafood sharing platter for 2, which can easily feed 3-4 people if you’re not a big eater. However, the sides are just okay, so it’s best to stick with the classic dory fish option.

Keep in mind that parking can be a challenge in the crowded area of Hartamas, so plan accordingly. It’s also important to note that the restaurant is halal and only accepts credit or debit card payments unless you pay the exact amount in cash.

Although some items on the menu may sell out quickly, such as fries and beans, the food is definitely worth the wait. One thing to note is that the mashed potato is a bit sweet, so it might not be to everyone’s liking.

Overall, Cor Blimey British Fish and Chips is a great spot to grab some tasty food in a cozy environment. Don’t hesitate to give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Super Saigon Sri Hartamas KL

If you’re looking for a great Vietnamese restaurant in Sri Hartamas, be sure to check out Super Saigon. With a nice ambience and delicious food, you’re sure to have a great dining experience.

One of the best things about Super Saigon is the fast service and friendly staff. They always welcome customers and are happy to help you with anything you need. Wan even taught us how to collect and use a loyalty card, which was very helpful.

While the food is generally acceptable, there are a few standout dishes that are definitely worth trying. One of the recommended dishes is the Bahn Mi bread, which is crispy, light, and tasty. It’s filled with tender beef that’s sure to satisfy your appetite.

If you’re in the mood for pho, the Vietnamese beef pho is a great option. However, some customers have mentioned that the beef can be tough. Another dish to try is the avocado smoothie, which is served in a smaller cup size. Some customers have also mentioned that the sliced beef quality may have changed.

Despite these minor issues, the food at Super Saigon is generally good, and the prices are around RM15+ for a main dish. 8. Sri Hartamas Food – Marta’s Kitchen

Martas Kitchen

Marta’s Kitchen is a popular Spanish restaurant located in Sri Hartamas. As the place is usually packed, it is recommended to make reservations beforehand. Despite the crowd, the service is quick and efficient, with adequate waiters to attend to you.

The food is amazing, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. One of the recommended dishes is the Iberico pork cheeks, which are tender and flavorful. The paella is also a hit, with the Valenciana paella cooked just right and deceptively creamy.

The chili and garlic prawns are fragrant and juicy, while the pesto pasta has a cheese that pairs well with it. The hummus, while good, comes with somewhat biscuit-like bread, which may not be to everyone’s taste. The sangria is one of the best in town, making it a must-try.

The staff at Marta’s Kitchen are attentive and friendly, making your dining experience pleasant. However, the restaurant tends to be noisy due to its popularity, so it might not be suitable for romantic date nights. Nevertheless, it is a great place for group celebrations or meet-ups. They also have spacious outdoor seating available.

Overall, Marta’s Kitchen is a wonderful Spanish restaurant with reasonable prices, serving delicious food and drinks. Even though the place is crowded, it is worth a visit, and you will not regret it. Be sure to try the mussels, which are only available on Fridays to Sundays.

While the cleanliness of the shop could be improved, the service is generally quick and efficient. However, be prepared for some variability in wait times during busy periods.

As for the food, Mama Kim Wellness Kitchen offers a diverse menu with plenty of healthy options. One of the recommended dishes is the Sauna Boodles, which come with a variety of ingredients and fish that are cooked to perfection in a sizzling hot claypot bowl.

Other dishes that come highly recommended are the Tom Yum Sauna Mee and the combo sets. While some customers have noted minor changes in the ratios of ingredients, the overall quality of the food has remained consistent over time.

In addition to the delicious food, Mama Kim Wellness Kitchen also serves surprisingly good coffee and mix fruit teas. So whether you’re looking for a healthy lunch spot or a cozy dinner on a cold and wet night, Mama Kim Wellness Kitchen is definitely worth checking out!

10. Sri Hartamas Food – Monnalisa Italian Restaurant

Monnalisa Italian Restaurant
Image via Monnalisa Italian Restaurant

Monnalisa Italian Restaurant in Sri Hartamas is a great place to visit if you’re in the mood for some authentic Italian food. One of the best dishes that you must try is their margherita pizza which is utterly delicious and considered the best by some. You will be amazed by the simplicity of this pizza and how fresh the ingredients taste. The restaurant is run by passionate Italian owners who know how to create a great pizza.

If you’re in the mood to sit outside and enjoy the weather, Monnalisa Italian Restaurant is the perfect place for you. The outdoor seating area is most pleasant and relaxing. Additionally, the appetizer of crusty bread is addictive and you will find yourself wanting more than one basket.

The linguine was decent, but the standout dish was the lamb pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of tenderness. It’s rare to find pasta cooked so well in KL, but Monnalisa Italian Restaurant got it right.

This restaurant is situated just above Family Mart and it is a cute little Italian place that serves up fresh seafood and decent lamb chops. The balcony is a great place to sit and relax while enjoying your food. You can easily book ahead with a WhatsApp message and you will find the restaurant quiet when you visit on a weekday evening.

Overall, Monnalisa Italian Restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The food is simple, nothing fancy, but damn good. If you’re in the mood for some authentic Italian food, Monnalisa Italian Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

11. Sri Hartamas Food – Thai Arch Kitchen & Bar

Thai Arch Kitchen Bar 1
Image via Thai Arch Kitchen Bar

Welcome to Thai Arch Kitchen & Bar, a great place for gathering or celebration. The environment is good and the food is delicious, although the price is a bit high but still acceptable. One of the recommended dishes is the clear tom yum soup with bihun, not too spicy and sour as how you would like it. Authentic Thai food is served here and it is definitely worth a try.

However, the service can be improved especially on taking orders.

Furthermore, there was a shortage of jugs to serve draught beer, leading to staff repeatedly refilling your glass and taking back the jugs due to the lack of jugs available. They should have standby more jugs to avoid such inconvenience.

One of the highlights of this restaurant is that there is live band and singing at night, creating a lively atmosphere. However, the environment is filled with cigarette smell as it allows indoor smoking. Although there is a non-smoking area, the cigarette smell circulates all over the place. Therefore, families with kids should take note of this.

Despite the drawbacks, the river prawn glass noodle is highly recommended, and the band performance is fine. Overall, it is a good place to have an enjoyable meal with friends and family.

Address: Hartamas Shopping Centre, Lot G-15, Ground Floor Hartamas Shopping Center Main Entrance, 50480 Kuala Lumpur

Are you looking for a great restaurant in Sri Hartamas? Look no further than The Butcher’s Table! This restaurant offers delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere that’s perfect for casual dining.

One of the recommended dishes is the bacon fried rice and big breakfast. Both of these dishes are tasty and come in reasonable portions. You’ll love the salad dressing, which is refreshing and helps to cut through the grease. While the restaurant doesn’t have draft beer, the beer selection is still pretty good.

The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. If you’re in the mood for a burger, the pork meatloaf burger is a great option. It comes with coleslaw and fries, and the portion is big. The quality of the fries is also good. However, the meatloaf can be a bit salty if eaten alone. But when eaten together with the bun and egg, it’s perfect. You can also order a chocolate drink, but if you like your drinks thick, you might find it a bit thin.

If you’re a fan of German sausages, you’ll love The Butcher’s Table. The sausages are authentic and will remind you of your travels in Germany. You can try four types of sausages, pork belly on sauerkraut, and a potato salad. The sausages are phenomenal, but the potato salad is just so-so and comes in a smaller portion. To wash it all down, you can enjoy a glass of stout.

Another great thing about The Butcher’s Table is that you can purchase sausages and other goods to consume at home. This makes it a great option if you’re looking for a unique and delicious meal to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

In short, if you’re looking for a great restaurant in Sri Hartamas, be sure to check out The Butcher’s Table. With delicious food, a comfortable atmosphere, and the option to purchase sausages and other goods to consume at home, it’s the perfect spot for casual dining.

13. Sri Hartamas Food – Dondon Korean BBQ

Dondon Korean BBQ
Image via Dondon Korean BBQ

Dondon Korean BBQ is the go-to place for a “reasonable” price Korean BBQ. The taste and quality of the food are both excellent, and highly recommended. The service is impeccable, but it should be noted that they don’t offer free plain cold water like other Korean restaurants.

If you’re planning to visit during peak hours, expect a long queue. However, the waiting time is relatively short, and the service is fast. The food is delicious, although the entrails can be a little chewy. It can also get smoky and hot if you’re seated in the middle, so it’s best to sit near the entrance or sides where it’s an open space. The beer could use some chilling, too.

Despite the queue, the restaurant is still worth a try. Their BBQ was recommended by a friend, and the fresh and decent portion of the food did not disappoint. The glass noodle is a must-try, but keep in mind that a second refill comes with a charge. They also provide two bottles of water. The beef tongue is top-notch and comes at a reasonable price.

When it comes to the waiting list, it’s not always effective, so it’s best to communicate with the staff regarding how it works. Overall, Dondon Korean BBQ is a great choice for those looking for reasonably priced Korean BBQ with great taste and quality.

14. Sri Hartamas Food – Shin Yangpyung Haejang-Guk

Shin Yangpyung Haejang Guk
Image via Shin Yangpyung Haejang Guk

Shin Yangpyung Haejang-Guk is a must-visit for all Korean soup lovers. If you’re a fan of rich flavors in your soup, then this is the perfect spot for you. The pork bone soup is definitely a winner, and it pairs perfectly with their rice. If you’re in the mood for noodles, try their beef noodle soup which comes with Korean raw noodles that have a deliciously chewy texture.

One of the standout side dishes is their radish kimchi which has a unique flavor and taste compared to the usual kimchi and cucumber kimchi. The staff is occupied during lunch hours but still manages to serve quickly. The good food makes it all worth the wait.

The restaurant is an excellent place to enjoy a satisfying dinner. They offer different types of soup as the main dish and everything we ordered was delicious. However, the downside is that they close at 9.30 p.m. If you plan to visit for dinner, it’s best to go early to avoid the disappointment of not finishing your meal.

The tripe soup is a must-try, but if you’re not a fan, unfortunately, there aren’t many meat options. However, their side dishes are all fresh and delicious, and their meat patty is definitely worth a try. The soup noodles are only okay, and it may not be piping hot when it arrives.

Overall, the restaurant is a great choice for anyone looking for a good Korean soup. The unique flavors and chewy noodles are a treat, and their side dishes add an extra kick to the meal. The only thing to keep in mind is their closing time, so plan your visit accordingly.

Address: 40G, Jalan 25/70a, Desa Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

Another recommended dish is their seafood paella, cooked to perfection with flavorful squid ink and well-paired fish that goes well with the rice. You’ll enjoy the sourish golden crisp on top, which will tantalize your taste buds and leave you wanting more. Even the chicken dish, which may seem basic, is well-marinated and incredibly tender.

Although Loo Loo may seem like a no-pressure kind of place, the standards of food and service are kept top-notch throughout the evening. The team, led by William, is professional and ensures that everything runs smoothly. 16. Sri Hartamas Food – Sala Desa Sri Hartamas

Sala Desa Sri Hartamas
Image via Sala Desa Sri Hartamas

Sala Desa Sri Hartamas is a great place to go if you’re looking for a relaxing and neat environment to have a meal. The staff is patient in explaining the menu, informing you of items that are unavailable and providing good service. Although finding a car park spot can be challenging, it’s worth it once you sit down to eat.

The food is served fast and the portion is big, making it worth the price you pay. One recommended dish is the Nasi Lemak, which is highly recommended by customers. The restaurant accepts e-wallet payments, which is a convenient way to pay.

The chocolate cake is rich and delicious. However, some customers noticed that the ventilation system wasn’t working properly and there was a noticeable odor from the kitchen. Additionally, the kitchen staff didn’t wear their masks properly. These are just operational issues that can be improved.

It’s worth noting that Sala Desa Sri Hartamas is a Halal vegan restaurant, with vegetarian options available. Although the serving time was slow during a less busy hour, the food is good and the environment is clean and nice. Just be aware that the valet parking is the only option for parking in front of the eatery.

17. Sri Hartamas Food – Butaya Izakaya

Butaya Izakaya
Image via Butaya Izakaya

Butaya Izakaya is a small, cozy outlet that serves up some delicious, reasonably-priced food. You can stop by for a quick drink, some light snacks, or a full meal of rice or ramen. They’re open from 4:30 pm to 10 pm, and if you prefer some peace and quiet, there’s a small outdoor dining area as well. Do note that the indoor seating area can be pretty noisy given the number of people.

If you’re looking to try some traditional Japanese dishes, this place is definitely worth a visit. The tamago luncheon, pork belly stick, fried chicken skin, roasted garlic, and traditional dumplings are some of the standout dishes. Additionally, they have a large variety of foods and drinks, including shonchu, which is a non-alcoholic, gassy drink that tastes like a light beer.

The skewers are also great, with plenty of variety when it comes to meats and innards. The clams are a limited-time offer, but they’re very savory and have a sweet sake taste. The yakisoba and fried rice are full of wok hei and come highly recommended if you’re looking to switch things up with some stir-fried options.

While the ramen and karaage are decent, there are some places that do it better. However, they make for great accompaniments to their beers or highball. One thing to note is that the place can get pretty crowded, so it’s best to reserve a table if you plan on going during peak hours. Overall, Butaya Izakaya is a great spot for some tasty Japanese food and a fun night out with friends.

Address: 14, Jalan Sri Hartamas 8, Taman Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

Momotalo Yakiniku
Image via Momotalo Yakiniku

If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience, Momotalo Yakiniku in Sri Hartamas is definitely worth a try. The service is quick and efficient, so you won’t be waiting long before you can dig into your food. The taste of the dishes is almost identical to the original Japanese flavors, which is impressive. Even the average dishes are satisfying, though the prices can be a bit steep.

The ambiance of the restaurant is just okay, with a slightly run-down feel. However, the real star of the show is the meat. It’s fantastic, and the Supreme Harami Ox Ribs are a must-try. The dipping sauce is also noteworthy and adds an extra layer of flavor to the dishes. On the downside, the seafood options were a bit underwhelming.

If you’re planning to visit, make sure to call ahead and check for availability, as the restaurant can get super busy during peak hours and days. Additionally, parking can be a challenge in the area, so be prepared to spend some time searching for a spot.

Overall, if you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine, Momotalo Yakiniku is definitely worth checking out. The food is delicious, the service is good, and the meat dishes are especially noteworthy.

Yoshinari Japanese Restaurant in Sri Hartamas is a must-visit if you are a fan of Japanese cuisine. The food here is delicious, and the service is mostly attentive and prompt. If you are lucky enough to sit at the counter, you will get to watch the team assemble your food, which is an interesting experience.

One of the standout dishes is the Spanish Mackerel sashimi, which is simply amazing. The Beef Cheeks with cocoa miso is another dish that you should not miss. The eggplant noodles and deep-fried oyster tofu are also recommended dishes that are worth trying.

The restaurant has a warm and cozy ambiance, with an open kitchen concept that allows you to see the chefs at work. The chef is friendly and engaging, and the service crew is also very welcoming. Reservations are encouraged due to the limited seating available.

The only downside of the restaurant is its pricing, especially for the seven-course dinner set. While the execution of each course is well done, the portions are quite small, and the taste is mild, leaving you unsatisfied at the end of the meal. However, the amazing eggplant noodles make up for this shortcoming.

If you are looking for homestyle Japanese food, then Yoshinari Japanese Restaurant is the place to be. The a la carte dishes are worth trying, and the omakase set course may not be worth the cost. Overall, this restaurant offers a wonderful authentic Wasyoku experience that will bring back memories of dining in Japan.
