With their hustle and bustle, you can expect efficient dine-in and takeout service, and you won’t be disappointed. It’s good stuff, and a must-try if you’re in the area.
On arrival, we had trouble finding an available seat, but the staff was accommodating, and we eventually found a round table that could seat six people. However, one of the staff members informed us that the table was reserved, and we couldn’t sit there. It wasn’t a big deal, as another staff member directed us to the second floor, where there was plenty of available seating.
Despite the restaurant being busy, our food arrived just ten minutes after placing our order. One of the recommended dishes is the well-marinated fried chicken with fluffy and fragrant rice. The sambal was delicious, but be aware that it is on the sweet side and has a lot of onions, which some people may not like.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and plan to return for more. However, the service left much to be desired. Although our food arrived quickly, some staff members were rude and unhelpful, which detracted from the overall experience.
Overall, Village Park Restaurant is a highly recommended spot if you’re in the area. We visited at 11 am on a weekday and didn’t have to queue, and the service was efficient and fast. If you’re looking for cheap and yummy nasi, this is the place to be!

6. Uptown Damansara Food – Cor Blimey British Fish and Chips
If you are craving for authentic British fish and chips in Damansara, Cor Blimey British Fish and Chips is definitely a place you should try out. The garlic bread served here is amazing and pairs perfectly with their creamy mushroom soup. Though their seafood chowder was average, the seafood platter was huge and ideal for sharing with family or friends.
One of the recommended dishes is their fish and chips, which is not only delicious but also affordable. You can even order a second serving of fish as it is that good. The coleslaw was average but the mash was slightly disappointing. However, the highlight of the meal was definitely the fish and chips, which was even better than the popular Harry Ramsden’s chain. They also serve vinegar here, which adds an extra tang to the dish.
If you are dining with a group, the family platter is a great option to try a range of items on the menu. You will enjoy all of the four different fishes, with the halibut being a favourite among customers for its texture. And for those who are not fond of peas, the mushy peas here will change your perception of them as they are much better than the usual canned peas.

7. Uptown Damansara Food – Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee
Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee is a popular restaurant that serves delicious Chinese cuisine. If you want to avoid crowds, you can come at around 6 pm. Once you find a table, you just need to scan the QR code to place your order. However, for the roast duck, you will need to go to the stall to order. The food arrived relatively fast and the noodles were not too salty. The roast duck was meaty and their chili dipping sauce was great. If you don’t mind walking, there is parking available behind the shop.
The lala was fresh and cooked in a nice slightly spicy sauce. The hor fun and bee hoon had nice crispy bits and the seafood was fresh. The signature dish, dark soy Hokkien mee, was outstanding with its crispy pork lard bits. The service was quick and good too. However, the restaurant can get quite crowded during peak hours, so be prepared to wait for your turn at a table. You can avoid the waiting time by visiting a little earlier than the usual dinner crowd.
During our visit, we ordered the signature Hokkien mee, Cantonese fried noodles, fried rice, and fried lala. The dishes were of big portions and very tasty. No wonder this restaurant has been one of the family favourites for a number of years. However, parking can be a big issue in this neighbourhood. We recommend parking in Starling Mall and walking out to this place.
All in all, Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee is a great place for a delicious Chinese meal. With fresh and tasty dishes, friendly staff, and quick service, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

One of the recommended dishes is their chicken mushroom pie served with mashed potatoes and gravy. The apple crumble with vanilla ice cream is also worth trying. The pies are good, and the service is even better. The staff are attentive and provide excellent service, earning a thumbs up from customers.
The only downside is that the cafe is small, so it can get crowded easily. However, if you’re lucky, you may find that there’s no crowd like one customer who visited on a Sunday. The cream and mushroom pie was good, and the other sweeter options were equally delicious.

If you’re looking for a new Korean BBQ place to try, Seoul Classic Korean BBQ in Uptown Damansara is worth checking out. The clean and comfortable environment is a great place to enjoy a Korean meal with friends or family. The banchan, which are the small dishes of side dishes, were generously filled and tasty. The utensils and tissues were neatly arranged in a drawer giving diners more table space and they were individually wrapped for hygiene.
One of the recommended dishes is the seafood pancake which was fragrant and flavorful. The meats were decent with the pork being the better choice compared to chicken. The fresh sliced pork was good but some customers would prefer it if it was sliced thinner. Although, it was not a deal breaker.

Menya Hanabi is a popular restaurant that serves filling and satisfying meals, with many loyal fans. It can get pretty crowded, especially on a weekday night. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, they also offer small rice bowls, but they don’t quite have the same kick.
One of the recommended dishes is the dry ramen, which is a unique take on the traditional ramen. It may look like Dry Chilli Pan Mee at first glance, but it’s not. The special Nagoya Mazesoba DX and Toroniku Nagoya Mazesoba are both delicious and come in large portions. They also offer green tea RO to complement the experience.
The eggs in the dry ramen are cooked just right, with a runny yolk. The minced pork is well-spiced and topped with slices of buttery char siew that melt in your mouth. Seaweed is also added to the dish, which adds a different taste profile. The fresh noodles are smooth and chewy, giving it a satisfying slurpy effect.
Before eating the dry ramen, mix it thoroughly and try it without adding anything to understand the taste profile. Then, you can add vinegar and chilli flakes to suit your individual taste. Ground Coffee in Uptown Damansara is the perfect spot for coffee lovers and pastry enthusiasts. The quality of their coffee is exceptional and their latte art is beautifully crafted. You can definitely taste the difference in the quality of their coffee beans.
Their pastries are also quite delicious, particularly the apple crumble and butter croissant. However, if you’re looking for savoury options, the choices are quite limited. Despite this, the ambiance is cozy and relaxed, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy your coffee and pastry.
If you’re looking to avoid the weekend rush, it’s best to visit early in the morning. We found that the place wasn’t too busy during our visit, allowing us to enjoy our coffee before the crowds arrived.
We also tried their salted egg yolk pasta, big breakfast, and dirty chai latte. While the dirty chai latte was great, the salted egg yolk pasta lacked the salted egg yolk taste, and the scrambled eggs in the big breakfast lacked flavor as well.
Ground Coffee’s washroom is also clean, which is always a plus. Their bake goods are absolutely delicious, and their cookies are huge, American-sized. If you’re looking for a sweet treat to take home, the cookies are a great option.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat, Miru Dessert Café in Uptown Damansara is a must-visit spot. This place has a cute exterior, but what’s inside is even better – the food! The decor inside may not be the main attraction, but the desserts are definitely worth it.
When I went there, I tried the shaved ice and toast, and I have to say, they were both absolutely delicious. Despite already having had a big meal, I couldn’t resist fighting over these desserts. The original shaved ice flavour had mung bean powder, which is not usually something I enjoy, but it was creamy and not overly sweet, making it the perfect complement to the ice. The toast was thick, crunchy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside – so satisfying that I preferred it without honey.
What’s more, the portions are generous and reasonably priced. For four people, we spent around RM50, which was totally worth it for the quality and quantity of food we got. The ice melts in your mouth and is full of flavour. Plus, the place is clean, comfortable, and perfect for hanging out with friends and chatting.
One of the must-try dishes is the kakigori with mung bean powder. Even if you’re not a fan of nuts, you might still enjoy it because the syrup compliments the flavour. And of course, the toast is always a solid choice. It’s soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, making it a perfect dessert or snack any time of day.
In summary, if you’re in the mood for something sweet and satisfying, Miru Dessert Café is definitely worth a visit. The shaved ice and toast are delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. So head on over and treat yourself to some scrumptious desserts!

Bintang Sue @ 1026 is one of the many stalls in Uptown Hawker Centre that offers delicious food at night. It’s a lively place with many tables across different stalls, making it a great spot for dinner and late-night eats. While there are many food options to choose from, the nasi goreng spicy egg is a standout dish here. The flavours are well balanced but be warned that the second plate we ordered was saltier than the first.
The portions for the vegetables, noodles, and salted egg chicken aren’t big, and the Hokkien mee and beef wantan hor are just average. However, the salted egg squid is a must-try dish. It’s so delicious that you can pair it with anything or just have it as is. The kuey teow goreng and nasi goreng daging are also highly recommended.
The atmosphere at Bintang Sue @ 1026 is excellent, and the vibes are good. The staff are friendly and attentive, although there might be some delays during peak hours. 22. Uptown Damansara Food – Mamalee Nasi Lemak
Mama Lee’s Nasi Lemak is a great option for lunch if you want good quality food without the large crowds and tight seating of other popular spots like Village Park. The restaurant is not on ground level, so be sure to look out for the small Mamalee signs, and it’s accessible only by a flight of stairs. However, the air-conditioned space is worth the climb. They accept eWallet payments, making the payment process convenient for you.
One of the recommended dishes is the Nasi Lemak Crispy Rendang Chicken. The ikan bills and peanuts are crispy, and the fried chicken is crispy too. However, the taste is a bit on the bland side. Both the sambal and rendang were a bit overly sweet. For RM15.00, the portion is neither small nor big. It’s good enough for a satisfying lunch.
If you like Salted Egg Yolk or Butter Milk sauce, Mama Lee’s got you covered. The Salted Egg Yolk and Buttermilk fried sotong (squid) are highly recommended. They are surprisingly good with the nasi lemak. The sambal is not too spicy, just nice.
Overall, Mama Lee’s Nasi Lemak is a reliable option for a good-quality lunch in Uptown Damansara. If you’re in the mood for some tasty nasi lemak, give Mama Lee’s a try.

23. Uptown Damansara Food – Spade’s Burger
Spade’s Burger is the go-to place if you’re craving a meaty burger with a kick of hot sauce. The burgers are simply delicious, and you can taste the juicy, succulent meat and the flavorful sauce in every bite. The fries and nuggets are also noteworthy, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
However, one thing to note is that the menu signboards on top are hard to read because of the small words, which can make it difficult to order. To make things easier, it would be helpful if Spade’s Burger printed out a menu that customers could read clearly.
Despite that, the Porkanator burger is a must-try. The pork patty is made with real meat, not processed meat, which makes a significant difference in the taste. It’s not too salty and leaves you feeling full till dinner time.
In the past, Spade’s Burger used to offer a free flow of hot beverages, but unfortunately, that has stopped. However, the free flow of soft drinks is still available, so you can still quench your thirst.
Overall, if you’re in the mood for a delicious burger with some heat, Spade’s Burger is a must-visit. The meat is of excellent quality, and the flavours are well-balanced, making it a satisfying meal. Just don’t forget to grab a drink to go with it.

24. Uptown Damansara Food – TGG Uptown
TGG Uptown is a decent spot to grab some drinks and food with friends. While the burger was pretty good, the noodles were a bit too salty for your taste. The drinks selection was alright and you appreciate the friendly service from the waiter and owner. Keep in mind that seating is limited, especially if you’re going with a group, so it might be a good idea to call ahead and reserve a table.
Despite the limited seating, the restaurant can get pretty crowded on any given night. However, this adds to the lively atmosphere and makes it a great place to hang out with friends. The cold beers and delicious food certainly help too.
Overall, TGG Uptown is a nice spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat. While the food may not be perfect, it’s still decent enough to satisfy your cravings. Plus, the friendly service and lively atmosphere make it a great spot to catch up with friends.

25. Uptown Damansara Food – Hartton Kitchen
Hartton Kitchen is a small and cozy cafe that serves delicious breakfast and brunch options. One of the recommended dishes is their eggs, especially the scrambled eggs which are done very well. Their sandwiches are basic but good, and you can’t go wrong with bacon and eggs. However, some customers felt that the chicken skewers tasted like satay and were too greasy for their liking. If you’re a fan of egg dishes, this is the place for you!
The cafe is situated in bustling Damansara Uptown and has a range of fusion dishes. The sandwiches are reminiscent of those found in Korea, especially the egg drop kind. If you need a good hearty breakfast or brunch, Hartton Kitchen is the place to go.
The cafe is located in a neighbourhood where parking can be a challenge, but you can park at Uptown 7 and walk across the street to the cafe. Despite the parking challenge, customers still find Hartton Kitchen a great spot to satisfy their cravings.
Aside from the scrambled eggs, customers rave about the avocado smash and ham n eggs dishes. The avocado smash is loaded with their signature guacamole, but some find that there’s too much mayonnaise and cheese for their liking. However, everyone agrees that sourdough bread is a star and is fluffy, soft, and chewy all at the same time. Overall, Hartton Kitchen is a cozy and delicious spot for breakfast and brunch.
Address: 48, Jalan SS 21/39, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
26. Uptown Damansara Food – Ding Xiang Sang Nyuk Noodles
Ding Xiang Sang Nyuk Noodles is a must-visit restaurant in Uptown Damansara for those who love pork noodles. The pork slice and soup portion in the individual bowl is not sufficient, so it is recommended to order an additional bowl to satisfy your craving. Nevertheless, the service is fast and efficient upon ordering.
The Sabah pork noodle is very authentic and still as delicious as their branch in SS15. The pork slice tastes even better when dipped in the chili sauce, which has a bit of a sour taste and a garlic flavour mixed with the chili.
The Konlo Beehoon Mee Original Set is also worth trying. The dried noodles are fragrant and the lean meat is exceptionally soft, while the mixed parts are good without a porky taste. The soup is super tasty but too little, so you may need to ask for an extra bowl.
Although parking can be a headache around this area, the food and service at Ding Xiang Sang Nyuk Noodles make up for it. If you’re in the area and craving pork noodles, this is definitely a place to visit. You will hardly find this authentic taste in West Malaysia, so make sure to support them and pay them a regular visit.
Address: 25, Jalan SS 21/56b, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
27. Uptown Damansara Food – Inside Ipoh
Inside Ipoh is a modern kopitiam that serves up delicious Ipoh hawker food. Despite not being able to try the chicken rice as it was unavailable, the curry noodle was different but still tasted great. The coffee was thick and strong, making for a great breakfast.
The kai si hor fun is the best dish, with thinly cut kway teow, 2 slices of prawns, and shredded chicken in the prawn soup. It tastes almost like the real thing, minus the prawn oil. The Ipoh curry mee is a good enough substitute for the real thing, with a heavier Indian spice taste and side dishes. The chee cheong fun is the weakest of the three dishes but will please most patrons, despite not coming with chilli sauce.
Inside Ipoh is the only restaurant in Klang Valley that can truly bring out the flavour of Ipoh. The chee cheong fun tastes amazing and the chicken hor fun soup is heavenly. Even the drinks they serve are authentic and worth every single penny. It’s safe to say that Inside Ipoh is a great substitute for those who don’t want to make the 200km trek to Ipoh.
Overall, Inside Ipoh is a great modern kopitiam that serves up delicious Ipoh hawker food. The dishes are tasty and authentic, and the drinks are worth trying. If you’re looking for a taste of Ipoh in Klang Valley, Inside Ipoh is definitely worth a visit.

28. Uptown Damansara Food – QingHeGu Korean Restaurant
If you’re in the mood for some delicious Korean BBQ, QingHeGu is definitely worth a visit. The meat selection is extensive, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The marinated meat is juicy and tender, and the charcoal flame adds a unique and exciting touch to the dining experience. The restaurant is often packed, especially on weekends, so it’s best to arrive early or park at the nearby Starling Mall and walk across the street.
While some other Korean BBQ places may be starting to feel old and dated, QingHeGu offers a refreshing change. They don’t provide the usual sauces and condiments, so you can really taste the quality of the meat. And if you have kids, they’ll love the free ice cream! One of the recommended dishes is the beef bone soup – it’s definitely worth a try.
Some of the popular dishes are pork belly and pork rib. The pork rib was marinated and cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, but slightly too sweet. The pork belly was a bit dry, but the overall food quality was fresh, tasty and delicious. Besides, the kimchi was served promptly and had a variety of options.
The service was prompt, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. QingHeGu is a great place to hang out with friends or family, and its fun and lively atmosphere is perfect for a night out. While parking can be a bit of a hassle, the food and experience at QingHeGu make it all worth it.

29. Uptown Damansara Food – Rice & Pot Empire
If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves delicious and hearty Chinese cuisine, you might want to give Rice & Pot Empire a try. Located in the bustling commercial area of Uptown Damansara, this restaurant serves a variety of dishes that will satisfy your cravings.
The restaurant’s design is traditional but local, and the food is the star of the show. One of the recommended dishes is the Ultimate Pork Indulgence, which comes with a signature pork bone broth, back ribs, sliced Spanish pork belly, HK bursting meatballs, and a crispy pork patty. The soup is sweet and not too salty, and the meat is juicy and tender.
The Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan is another must-try dish, as it is generously topped with braised pork that almost covers the entire bowl. The spicy mi xian with Taiwanese braised pork is fragrant and numbingly sour & spicy, with crunchy peanuts adding a nice texture to the dish. The crispy pork patty rice, topped with a fried egg, is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
The pork bone broth is the star of the show and can rival some of the best pork noodles out there. The tomato version is also highly recommended. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable, and the restaurant serves a variety of other dishes that you can choose from.
Despite the delicious food, the restaurant is surprisingly less-crowded during dinnertime. This is a great opportunity to enjoy your meal in a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The suikaos are also highly recommended, and the condiment of chopped-up spicy salty veggie adds the perfect compliment to this umami bomb of a place.
Overall, Rice & Pot Empire is a great place to enjoy delicious Chinese cuisine in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. With generous portions and reasonable prices, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. So the next time you’re in Uptown Damansara, be sure to drop by Rice & Pot Empire and give it a try.

30. Uptown Damansara Food – Kuro Japanese Steamboat
If you’re looking for a quiet spot to indulge in some Japanese steamboat, then Kuro Japanese Steamboat might just be the perfect place for you. Though seating is limited, the waiters are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they may have some trouble communicating with you.
The buffet here is RM69 per person, with a 50% discount for kids below 140cm. The standout dish is the Kuro broth, which is made from pork bones and is packed with flavour. However, one of the servers recommended the sukiyaki broth, which we found to be overly sweet.
While the pork was a bit lacking, the beef and lamb were exceptionally tasty and flavourful. The standard sliced pork and beef are included in the buffet price, and the majority of the steamboat ingredients are quite fresh. You’ll be particularly impressed with the steamboat sauce, which adds the perfect finishing touch to your meal.
And if you have a sweet tooth, then you won’t want to miss the Haagen-Dazs ice cream. It was our favourite part of the meal! With moderate prices and high-quality ingredients, Kuro Japanese Steamboat is definitely worth checking out. It’s a hidden gem located above a bar in Uptown Damansara, and it’s quickly become our first choice for Japanese steamboat.

31. Uptown Damansara Food – Han Woo Ri
If you are looking for some decent and nice Korean food, Han Woo Ri in Uptown Damansara is definitely worth a visit. This restaurant offers a choice of having the meat cooked for you or doing your own BBQ. Whether you prefer to have the meat cooked or BBQ’d, you will be satisfied with the meal.
One of the recommended dishes is the marinated chicken in Korean chili sauce, which is really delicious. However, the marinated special tender pork meat does not meet the expectations and feels like it lacks taste. The seafood pancake is decent, but a bit too oily. The side dishes are not too bad, but the kimchi has a bad taste. Overall, the standard of the food may have dropped compared to previous visits.
If you are going with family or friends, the beef set for 4 is a good choice, but it may seem a bit pricey. The spicy soup is lovely and everything else is fresh and tasty. The mild and clean flavors of the food are appreciated, and the warm and friendly service makes the dining experience more enjoyable.
In summary, Han Woo Ri in Uptown Damansara is a great option for Korean food with good service and fresh ingredients. While some dishes may not meet expectations, there are still plenty of delicious options to choose from.

32. Uptown Damansara Food – Steven Western Corner
Steven Western Corner is a no-frills stall located at a corner of an open-air food centre. The place may not be clean, but it’s worth visiting for their delicious chicken chop and chicken cutlet. If you’re feeling nostalgic, this is the perfect place to visit. It has been operating for more than 20 years, and the black pepper steak is still a favourite among customers. Although the prices may be a bit steep for a food court, the portion size justifies the price.

However, one downside to this restaurant is the difficulty in finding parking nearby. Despite this, the food is definitely worth the effort. It’s important to note that while the food is good, it may not compare to what you can get in Kelantan. For those who are into pasta, the Fruit de Mare pasta is a must-have, and the eggs portabello is also a recommended dish. However, some customers feel that the food is a bit pricey for its quality.
